Under his board leadership, the 5 schools Aspira manages have shown steady improvement in performance, grades, discipline, attendance and graduation rates. He is a graduate of the Catholic University of Puerto Rico and Temple University.
Ramirez is the Executive Director of Pan American Behavioral Health Services, a Latino community-based agency that provides health related services to patients in North Central Philadelphia.
Previous to this position Ramirez served as the Regional Director of the Office of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico in Pennsylvania. Mr. Ramirez was the founding Chair of the United Ways’ “Hispanic Leadership Development Program”.
Mr. Ramirez was instrumental in setting up Mobile Clinics in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti in response to the effects of the devastating earthquake in 2010. This Clinic has been recognized as part of official “Health Clusters” by the government of Haiti and the United Nations. Presently this health facility is in the midst of battling the Cholera situation there so it does not turn into an epidemic.
