New Jersey State Assemblywoman
Gabriela Mosquera is only the second Latina to ever represent South Jersey in the Legislature, representing the 4th Legislative District which consists of municipalities in Camden and Gloucester Counties.
Her family emigrated from Ecuador to Hudson County, NJ when she was 3. When she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of New Jersey and later her Master’s in Business Administration, she became the first in her family to graduate from college.
She began her career in public service at the Assembly Majority Office in Trenton and became the Director of Policy for former State Assemblywoman Nilsa Cruz-Perez. She is Vice-Chair of the Assembly Women and Children Committee and serves on the Appropriations and Higher Education Committee.
