Ramon Zayas

Emmy award-winning journalist Ramon Zayas joined Telemundo62 in 2013. He currently anchors Noticiero Telemundo62, a locally produced Spanish-language newscast airing every Monday through Friday at 6 PM and 11 PM.  Zayas has more than 20 years of experience in broadcasting.  Before coming to Philadelphia, he was with Telemundo Network News in Miami, Florida.  From 2002 to 2011 he was an anchor / reporter for Noticiero Telemundo Nueva York Fin de Semana.  Zayas has covered a range of local, national and international stories throughout his career, including the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, Pope Benedict’s resignation, the succession of Pope Francis, the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan, and many others. Zayas holds a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from San Francisco State University, and he has been nominated several times for professional awards in jurnalism and broadcasting.
