Richard Negrin is currently a partner at the Law firm of Obermayer, Rebmann, Maxwell & Hippel. Prior to joining Obermayer, Negrin served as Managing Director and Deputy Mayor for the City of Philadelphia – working collaboratively to manage an annual budget of $5.5 billion and nearly 30,000 employees.
As Managing Director, Negrin directed several high-profile, cross-departmental initiatives and supervised the City’s key infrastructure departments, including the Office of Human Resources, the Office of Information Technology, and the Procurement Department.
In 2009, Richard was appointed by Mayor Michael Nutter to serve as Executive Director of the Board of Revision of Taxes. From 2006 to 2009, Richard served as Vice-Chair of the independent Philadelphia Board of Ethics.
Prior to joining the City of Philadelphia, he was Vice President, Associate General Counsel of ARAMARK Corporation. Before that, he was with the law firm of Morgan Lewis, and was a prosecutor in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. Richard is a graduate of Rutgers University School of Law. He received his Bachelor’s degree in political science from Wagner College. Richard played briefly in the National Football League, with the Cleveland Browns in 1988, and the New York Jets in 1989.
